We encounter different situations in our life. On the basis of our experience we deal with these situations, off course our decisions are based on our environment and our mental development. Does it mean that if we explore more our brain develops more and the environment, with which we interact, expands or say increasing our circle we may enhances our capability of handling the situations. It is important to keep in mind that the standard of people is more important than the number of people.

Some beautiful lines by the timeless poet : Mirza Ghalib
Paate nahi jab raah, to chad jaate hain naale
Rukti hai meri tab’aa to hoti hai ravaan or
(tab’aa – temperament, ravaan - flow)
Hain or bhi duniya me sukhanvar bahut achchhe
Kehte hain ki ‘Ghalib’ ka hai andaz-e-bayan or
Aate hain ghaib se ye mazaami khayaal me
‘Ghalib’, sarir-e-khama nava-e-sarosh hai
(ghaib – hidden power, mazaami – topics, sarir-e-khama - scratching sound made by a pen, nava-e-sarosh – sound of an angel)
Ya Rab! Vo na samjhe hain na samjhenge meri baat
De or dil unko, jo na de mujhko zaban or
Har chand subak-dast hue but-shikni me
Ham hain, to abhi raah me hain sang-e-giran or
(subak-dast - expert, but-shikni - iconoclast, sang-e-giran – heavy stones)
Hai khoon-e-jigar josh me dil khol k rota
Hote kai jo deeda-e-khoonaba-fishaan or
(Deeda - eye, khoonaba-fishaan - to sheds tears of blood)
(khu – habit, vaz’aa – conduct, Subak-sar - light headed, sar-giran - arrogant/proud)
Kafas me mujh se rudaad-e-chaman kehte na dar hamdam
Giri hai jis pe kal bijli vo mera aashiyan kyon ho?
(Kafas – prison, rudaad-e-chaman – report of land, hamdam – friend, aashiyan - home)
Yehi hai aazmana to satana kisko kehte hain?
Adu k ho liye jab tum to mera imtehaan kyon ho?
(Adu - enemy)
Ki mere qatal k baad usne jfaa se tauba
Haaye us zood-pashema ka pashema hona
(jfaa - opression, zood – quickly, pashema - ashamed)
Haif us chaar girah kapre ki qismat ‘ Ghalib ’
Jis ki qismat me ho aashiq ka girebaan hona
(haif – Alas!, girah - one sixteenth of a yard, girebaan - collar)
‘Ghalib ’ hame na chher ki phir josh-e-ashq se
Baithe hain ham tahayya-e-toofaan kiye hue
(josh- excitement, ashq –tears, tahayya-e-toofaan – determined )
Bas ki dushvaar hai har kaam ka aasan hona
Aadmi ko bhi meyassar nahi insaan hona
Aadmi ko bhi meyassar nahi insaan hona

Corruption: Where it actually is?
It is really good to see that so many people are supporting Mr. Anna Hazare to fight against corruption. People are coming together in support of him for a good cause. But there is a question in my mind that if everybody wants to stop corruption then who is corrupt?
Is it enough to jump on roads and shout against government? Are you sure that you are not a part of the corrupt party. Are you sure you are not one of those who have paid a bribe for something in his entire life time.. for admission, for getting a seat in train, for getting licence, passport for getting a job, for getting your marriage registered, to get your patient admitted to the hospital, to get your pension, to get yourself free when police caught you without licence /helmet /crossing on a red light; or you have not gone through the procedures in banks, hospitals, courts, police stations, educational institutions, companies anywhere.
Corruption lies and flows in our veins. Let’s clean it first. I think we need a revolution to clean ourselves, our souls.

Marriage as we see it...
Marriage in our society is a black box for the bride and groom, a duty for parents, a celebration for our relatives and friends. Marriage, where two unknown people tie knot and promise to love and support each other for their entire life, is an event that is too personal for the two souls getting married to each other but it is not.
What it is and what it should be? There are many questions in my mind such as:
· Why two unknown people marry?
· Why a girl is always supposed to make all compromises and is blamed in case of clashes?
· Why it is assumed that bride’s side is lower?
· Why Dowry? If people expecting dowry, do not get it, they start torturing the bride. Why do they even expect it?
All the above questions are sometimes, but not always, not valid in case of love marriages but there are few more questions that are equally valid in both love and arrange marriages. For example:
· Why a marriage celebration is taken as event to show off?
· Why we put so much money in it when it can be done simply?
· Why we expect/accept gifts?
· Why we invite so many people to the marriage party?
Please help me with these questions if you have any answers...
Thanks in advance.

Mind Blocks
I want to go abroad but my parents will not understand (Mind block). I want to be an actress but what my neighbours will say (Mind block). I want to travel alone but some random guys may tease me (Mind block). I want to wear this dress but people may not like it (Mind block).
The question is “What are mind blocks?”
I think it is a word for the hurdles we have created our self in our mind for restricting our selves. The question is why we create hurdles for our self which stops us from moving towards the goal we have decided to achieve. I think somehow it is not in our control until we identify the problem because we don’t even realize that we are not taking an important step because of a mind block which is actually our hypothesis. These are thoughts stored in our mind which actually are not ours but are of others. We grow up listening to what people around us talk about, we like it or not it goes into our mind, these things are washed off as the time passes leaving some impressions on our mind. These impressions may act in both ways positive and negative. When we are going to take some decision, all these impressions get activated unknowingly and make effect on what we decide and how we act.
If mind blocks creates both positive and negative effects, I am saying this because some people around us inspires us and some discourages, but if this is true then why these are called “Blocks” why not “Accelerators” or something like that. I think most of the time others project all their fears in front of us and all those fears goes straight into our mind and all those fears related to the particular situation suddenly comes out when we want to take a decision.
We cannot neglect this effect nor we can ignore but yes we may minimise it, if we act intelligent. One way is, when people discuss about the fears related to some incident, oppose it at the same time. People may not like it but our mind will not let those fears enter in it. Another way is to face all your fears, this technique always work. :)

There are many ways to contribute to the society, one of those is self improvement. What if everybody improve oneself. What if we do not get less attracted to our environment. What if people pointing fingers to others first point themselves and ask 'Am I clean?'. What if people treat others as they treat themselves. What if people forgive others as they forgive themselves easily for each and every sin? What if poeple love others as they love themseleves forgetting all thier mitakes?
Putting bars and making boundries is like restricting ourselves in a cage when Almighty has given us a huge world to roam around. Why can't we love each and every person, be a king or a slave, a billioner or a begger, be a saint or a criminal, what ever his cast is, what ever his religon is, what ever his country is, what ever his colour is.

Are we Friend or Enemy with our Environment?
Whenever I go out by Bike, Car, Train, Bus etc. whatever the mode of travel is one thing is common always, i.e.,
People throwing waste on streets if the mode of transport is personal and people throwing waste inside the vehicle if it is a public transport.
People in our country, especially in North India do not even think once before throwing the waste on streets or in the vehicle they are sitting in or in the beautiful gardens or on the corners of roads near their residence because, it does not belong to them personally. They do not worry about their future, they follow
"Live for today, Do not worry about future"
They actually do not worry at all about the questions like 'where they will sit if they visit the place again' or ‘it may be harmful for environment’ or ‘it will look bad’ or ‘the other person who may visit to the same place may face some problems because of their act’. We can see heap of kachra everywhere we go out.
It is not that no one clean it out. There are Nagar Nigam and private people both, who may be seen doing their duties on road sides. But how it is possible for few hundred people to clean a city filled with kura and kachra thrown by multi million people.
Think before you throw bottles, plastic bags, papers, banana, peanut etc. ka chhilka on the roads out of your vehicle or inside a public transport or in a public park or monument or the kura out of your home on roadsides. Please think that why don't you throw kura on the floor of your room, even when you know that it will be removed next day morning. You don't make your room dirty because you know
1. It will look bad.
2. It may spread dangerous diseases.
3. It may turn your impression down.
Question yourself: Doesn't all these things still apply if you make your surrounding environment dirty? People visiting your place are not blind, they will see your surroundings before they enter your home. For them, your home starts as they turn to the street on which your home is located.
If we want to really contribute to improve our country, it is not required to jump on roads and shout slogans against the government. We may leave few of our bad habits for the sake of our Nation which we are proud of.
Next time if you have some kura and there is no dustbin around just keep it inside your bag and take it to your home and throw it in the dustbin. Don't even throw it on the heap of kura on the road side because if you are adopting a good habit adopt it completely, others will see you and will do the same. This process is time taking but will definitely work.
Our India will definitely shine one day.
