Whenever I go out by Bike, Car, Train, Bus etc. whatever the mode of travel is one thing is common always, i.e.,
People throwing waste on streets if the mode of transport is personal and people throwing waste inside the vehicle if it is a public transport.
People in our country, especially in North India do not even think once before throwing the waste on streets or in the vehicle they are sitting in or in the beautiful gardens or on the corners of roads near their residence because, it does not belong to them personally. They do not worry about their future, they follow
"Live for today, Do not worry about future"
They actually do not worry at all about the questions like 'where they will sit if they visit the place again' or ‘it may be harmful for environment’ or ‘it will look bad’ or ‘the other person who may visit to the same place may face some problems because of their act’. We can see heap of kachra everywhere we go out.
It is not that no one clean it out. There are Nagar Nigam and private people both, who may be seen doing their duties on road sides. But how it is possible for few hundred people to clean a city filled with kura and kachra thrown by multi million people.
Think before you throw bottles, plastic bags, papers, banana, peanut etc. ka chhilka on the roads out of your vehicle or inside a public transport or in a public park or monument or the kura out of your home on roadsides. Please think that why don't you throw kura on the floor of your room, even when you know that it will be removed next day morning. You don't make your room dirty because you know
1. It will look bad.
2. It may spread dangerous diseases.
3. It may turn your impression down.
Question yourself: Doesn't all these things still apply if you make your surrounding environment dirty? People visiting your place are not blind, they will see your surroundings before they enter your home. For them, your home starts as they turn to the street on which your home is located.
If we want to really contribute to improve our country, it is not required to jump on roads and shout slogans against the government. We may leave few of our bad habits for the sake of our Nation which we are proud of.
Next time if you have some kura and there is no dustbin around just keep it inside your bag and take it to your home and throw it in the dustbin. Don't even throw it on the heap of kura on the road side because if you are adopting a good habit adopt it completely, others will see you and will do the same. This process is time taking but will definitely work.
Our India will definitely shine one day.
